Eddie Garcia is a beloved and award winning youth sports coach from Henderson Nevada. In 2013, he received the National Youth Coach of the Year award from the National Alliance of Youth Sports. Prior to winning the award, Eddie was an educator in California and Nevada. In his years as an educator and coach, he has guided approximately 20,000 students to make positive choices and overcome their struggles. Forced to retire from education in 2013 after he contracted a flesh-eating bacteria that required the amputations of his hands and feet, Eddie has begun a second career as a speaker and continues to positively influence our next generation of youth through sports.
Eddie is quickly becoming a highly sought after motivational speaker. Audiences of all ages are captivated by his positive spirit and his never give up attitude after losing his hands and feet in 2013 to a near deadly flesh eating bacteria.
Eddie is able to speak to audiences on a personal level with humor and his own life stories. He is able to address many topics such as living life to the fullest, meeting challenges, never giving up, and more.
Eddie is scheduled for multiple guest speaking appearances throughout cities across America. In February 2015, he was a featured speaker at the Building a Healthier Future Summit in Washington DC. Notable speakers at the event included First Lady Michelle Obama as well as executives from NIKE and Mercedes Benz. His audiences include students, athletes, and adults.
